Their album Dynamite (1988) was hailed by critics, but probably due to lack of sales the group soon disbanded, and Puba emerged as the lead rapper of Brand Nubian. He debuted with the group Masters of Ceremony. Grand Puba (born William Dixon March 4, 1966) is a rapper best known as a member of the group Brand Nubian. The album is said to feature guest spots from: Ghostface Killah, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Jim Jones, Sheek Louch, Large Professor, Killah Priest, Cappadonna, Slaine (La Coka Nostra) & more. He released his debut solo album Golden Arms Redemption in 1999 and in 2009, U-God released a free mixtape called “Bring Back God” promoting his upcoming third solo album “Dopium” which is going to be released June 23rd. He is known for coming on with powerful verses in both Wu-Tang songs and the other members’ solo tracks. This is where DJ Synapse got his start in the Chicago club scene. Later that year, he met Cameron of Smartclubber. It was this friendship that pushed DJ Synapse to excel even further and always push himself to the limit. Soon DJ Synapse and DJ Kiki formed a DJing duo by the name of SunKi. Around 2005, he met another House Music enthusiast through a mutual friend by the name of DJ Kiki. It was here that DJ Synapse was born and fine-tuned his DJing skills.Īfter graduating, he moved back to Chicago. Alongside with DJs such as Virulent, DJ Timmy and Brando Ness, they all formed Sunshocked Entertainment, where they ended up throwing large scale parties in Lafayette. There he met Stanley Jones where he and other music enthusiasts. During this time, he was attending Purdue University where he joined Purdue Beat Society. Heavily influence by Chicago DJs as Bad Boy Bill and Bobby D, he played Hard House under the name DJ Force.
